Mediator Certification Requirements
An applicant for mediator certification shall submit
to the ReMedi Board of Directors (a) a biography, including pertinent contact
information, employment history, educational qualifications, mediation experience
in the insurance and reinsurance industries and current industry certifications
and affiliations; (b) a log containing non-confidential information of the
dates and nature of at least five mediations conducted by the applicant
in the insurance and/or reinsurance industries, together with two written
references from parties and/or their counsel involved in those mediations
attesting to the applicant's competency as a mediator based upon actual
prior experience, and (c) a demonstration of at least forty (40) hours of
formal mediation training, including certificates or other details that
confirm the institution, date, duration and location of such training. REMEDI
MEDIATOR CERTIFICATION IS IN THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE REMEDI BOARD OF
DIRECTORS.
