ReMedi was formed in 2008 by Katherine Billingham and Peter Scarpato, along with several highly experienced and well-respected members of the reinsurance and insurance industry who possess an extraordinary commitment to advancing dispute resolution methods that are cost-effective and results-oriented. The founders enjoy a profound collaboration with one another and other colleagues in the field.
ReMedi is, to our knowledge, the only organization that focuses exclusively on insurance and reinsurance mediation. All of our founding members and certified mediators have a broad knowledge of the industry and experience in mediation. Moreover, they embrace the use of mediation as a process that can respond to the challenge of resolving re/insurance matters without the high costs currently associated with arbitration and litigation.
